Club
Miller made his league debut for Celtic FC in the final game of the 1999/00 season as a substitute against Dundee United FC, but had to wait until 2003/04 before being elevated to the top team on a full-time basis. Former Celtic defender Marc Rieper took him on loan to AFG Åarhus in 2001/02, and he made 18 appearances during his spell with the Danish club. He scored on his UEFA Champions League debut for Celtic, against FBK Kaunas in the 2003/04 second qualifying round, and played all four qualifying matches as Celtic claimed a place in the group stages of the competition. He then started the season in the first team and netted again on Matchday 2 against Olympique Lyonnais.
