Dragan, pas encore regardé les dernières previews, mais ça me semble pas aberrant. J'arrive assez bien à imaginer les Rockets et Harden baisser un peu le pied à certains moments de la saison, ils ont vu que l'avantage du terrain ne fait pas tout, que la fraîcheur physique compte aussi, et Harden a eu son MVP, et ne sera donc plus en mission comme lors des deux dernières saisons. Les Warriors ont sait qu'en régulière ils balancent un bon paquet de match également. Boston a un groupe tellement étoffé, un coach tellement remarquable, s'ils arrivent à gérer les égos, ils peuvent faire une régulière monstrueuse.

J'ai regardé la preview cette après-midi et là où je les rejoins, c'est qu'il faut faire attention parce qu'il y aura un vrai challenge des Sixers-Raptors-Bucks dans l'ordre.
Ils appuient notamment sur la montée en niveau des jeunes Sixers ou du fait que les Bucks ont bien emmerdé les C's l'année dernière.
Je suis assez d'accord pour en faire les favoris à l'est mais ça reste assez ouvert je pense.

For the Warriors, One More Title Run in Oakland. Then What?

The revolutionary nature of his shotmaking, and the distinctive brand of showmanship paired with it, will always be Stephen Curry’s standout traits. Yet there’s also a sentimental side emerging with Curry, which he’s finding difficult to conceal as he enters his 10th — yes, 10th — N.B.A. season.

Curry’s Golden State Warriors begin their final campaign at Oracle Arena on Tuesday night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder, tipping off the two-time reigning champions’ farewell to the league’s oldest building in earnest. As soon as someone brings up moving on from the birthplace of the N.B.A.’s latest dynasty, Curry admits it’s hard not to feel sappy.

“I would say that I’m envisioning a special moment in June, hopefully playing another finals in Oracle, hopefully winning another championship, going out with a bang,” Curry said earlier this week before an exhibition game in Las Vegas. “We would love to give Oracle and Oakland one last ride. There’s so much history baked into it.”

There are limits, though, to how far Curry, at 30, is willing to peer into the future. He’ll hoist the ball from just about anywhere once he crosses midcourt — and he revealed in our visit that one of his first pro goals was topping his father Dell Curry’s 16 seasons in the league — but Curry is adamant about tuning out any talk of these Warriors nearing the end of their reign.

Since media day on Sept. 24, when Coach Steve Kerr described his team as “well aware” its recurring status as the overwhelming preseason favorite to win it all is “not going to last forever,” Golden State’s last season in Oakland before moving into the glitzy Chase Center in San Francisco has been increasingly billed as the potential beginning of the end of its dominance.

It’s a supposition that largely stems from the fact that the All-Star duo of Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson will both be free agents in July, with their fellow All-Star Draymond Green hitting the open market in July 2020. The All-Star newcomer DeMarcus Cousins, meanwhile, is widely expected to spend only one season as a Warrior after joining them on a cut-rate deal worth $5.3 million.

But Curry and Kerr, Golden State’s only cornerstones signed to long-term contracts, caution that it’s far too early for the rest of the N.B.A. to engage in such wishful thinking.

Asked about growing speculation Durant and Thompson will want to play elsewhere starting next season, Curry said: “Maybe there is a little bit of fatigue in terms of covering us, because it feels like people trying to plant seeds that aren’t there. At the end of the day, N.B.A. players have the opportunity to go where they want to go, but I feel like people want to be here. We have a great thing going that we want to sustain and keep together for as long as we can.

“Whatever happens next summer is going to happen — regardless of what anybody says right now. So my job — and I think the way we’re all approaching this — is that this year is about this year. It’s nothing for us to worry about right now, because it’s all kind of wasted breath.”

Said Kerr: “When I said what I said, I didn’t mean for it to be that this could be the end. What I meant was, ‘We’re in the middle of this run and let’s enjoy it.’ We’re aware we’re in that sweet spot. We have guys who love to play together and love the game, so my message has been to just focus on enjoying this run, because history tells you that you don’t have these runs for a decade — unless you’re San Antonio.”

Recent history also tells us that in the modern N.B.A., obsessing over future player movement inevitably tantalizes fans as much (and often more) than the chase for the current championship. It’s especially inevitable this season, after the rich-got-richer Warriors increased their roster total to five All-Stars from last season by signing Cousins — and after LeBron James fled the Eastern Conference for sunny Los Angeles without the accompaniment of a second established star.

Even after another dizzying flurry of summer player movement leaguewide, from LeBron landing with the Lakers to the makeover of the Houston Rockets’ supporting cast, Golden State nonetheless appeared to widen the gap on the chasing pack as it pursues a fourth championship in five seasons — unless the Boston Celtics reach their full potential upon welcoming Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward back from injury.

“This league is crazy, things change from year to year, and nothing’s guaranteed obviously — but if we take care of business when it counts, in the playoffs, then we can’t be beat,” Curry said, not exactly disputing the above assessment.

The other 29 teams are thus bound to draw hope from the recent widespread rumbles that Durant will seriously consider signing with the Knicks next summer. Yet my own sense, after some temperature-taking in Vegas, is that more people within the organization than not believe Durant ultimately wants to enjoy at least one season in Golden State’s new San Francisco palace after spending so much off-court time in his first two seasons immersing himself in the Silicon Valley culture.

The Warriors have to brace for the worst, of course, but I don’t sense much Durant apprehension yet. There is even less tangible concern about Thompson, despite the Lakers’ anticipated interest, given how often Klay has publicly said he hopes to spend his whole career as a Warrior.

Another factor that should help the Warriors in their quest to hang onto Durant through at least 2020: Irving’s recent proclamation that he intends to stay with the Celtics, as opposed to bolting for the Knicks, would seemingly prevent New York from signing the sidekick most likely to tempt Durant to switch coasts.

Yet Kerr, like Curry, is trying to dodge such talk completely. The coach is focusing instead on the looming challenge of working Cousins’s unique (but ball-dominating) skill set into the Warriors’ mix. He is also eagerly anticipating the prospect of Durant, Curry, Thompson and Green being sufficiently healthy to easily top the mere 41 games they managed to play in together last season.

Kerr himself is in an excellent place after his longstanding complications from 2015 back surgery, feeling good enough physically to commit to a side gig for the next two off-seasons as an assistant to Gregg Popovich with U.S.A. Basketball.

When I crossed paths with him Wednesday night, Kerr was mostly feeling grateful for his years in Chicago alongside the coaching genius Tex Winter, who died that day at 96. Kerr was struggling to hang on to his spot as a journeyman guard in the league when Winter persuaded the Bulls to sign him to a nonguaranteed contract entering the 1993-94 season. Winter was certain the heady Kerr would be a perfect role player in the famed triangle offense he was running for Phil Jackson; Kerr is the first to admit now that the success he found as a contributor to three Bulls championships was the springboard for everything else good in his basketball life.

“I literally never would have been coach of the Warriors without Tex Winter,” Kerr said, savoring his own slice of history before the grind ahead.

Jamal Crawford pourrait débarquer sur le banc de Phoenix : encore un peu plus de hype chez les Suns ?

Vous le savez, ça bouge encore du côté de l’Arizona puisque le GM des Suns a été remercié et c’est à Paul Jones que sont revenus le poste et la lourde tâche de toujours renforcer une équipe très jeune mais très prometteuse. L’effectif de Phoenix manque cruellement d’un meneur de jeu mais le recrutement pourrait finalement se tourner vers… Jamal Crawford.

Les Phoenix Suns sont une équipe en reconstruction et ont mis all-in sur la jeunesse après avoir fait de Devin Booker, 22 ans, le franchise player qui sera aligné avec de gros potentiels tels que T.J. Warren, Josh Jackson et Deandre Ayton. Si le roster a été complété avec quelques joueurs qui ont plusieurs saisons NBA dans les jambes comme Trevor Ariza ou Ryan Anderson, on sent l’équipe très inexpérimentée et surtout sans vrai meneur, du genre à être capable de tenir la baraque. Le GM a néanmoins dû se méprendre sur le sens du mot « meneur » puisqu’il compte proposer un contrat à Jamal Crawford, 38 ans, selon John Gambadoro :

Après une expérience chez les Minnesota Timberwolves, Jamal Crawford n’a pas rempilé et a mis les voiles. Il a dû sentir que ça sentait le boudin et a pris ses cliques et ses claques pour partir loin d’un Minnesota actuellement en alerte rouge. Toujours sans franchise, l’arrière a longuement dragué les Sixers de Philadelphie mais sans succès et n’a pas trouvé preneur cet été, ce qui est plutôt étonnant au vu de l’expérience et de l’apport en sortie de banc de Jamal. Phoenix est en train de flairer le bon coup et se verrait bien recruter un joueur ayant remporté trois fois le titre de meilleur sixième homme (record NBA). Pour accompagner les petits cactus, quoi de mieux que Jamal Crawford en sortie de banc, un J-Craw qui pourra s’éclater au sein d’un projet frais et ambitieux. Son handle et son tir seront forcément utiles à une équipe qui risque de bafouiller sans les titulaires, et miser sur Mister crossover ne semble pas une idée farfelue. De plus, les Suns galèrent à trouver un meneur de jeu supplémentaire dans leur effectif et Jamal présente cette possibilité, celle de pouvoir jouer meneur et arrière, une polyvalence en plus d’un talent offensif inné. Alors qui veut ?

Encore un peu plus de hype du côte de Phoenix pour tranquillement remonter la route vers les Playoffs. Jamal Crawford n’est évidemment pas un pari pour l’avenir mais il pourra beaucoup apprendre aux petiots qui risquent de se faire découper cette année. Franchement, on vote pour, Jamal est un magicien et le voir au chomedu serait un crève-cœur, alors donnez lui une petite place qu’il puisse asseoir ses fesses sur le banc des cactus, histoire que ces derniers piquent encore un peu plus que prévu.

Faudra couper du monde dans ce cas, ils sont déjà plus que 15 il me semble les Suns. Dans l'absolu c'est vraiment pas ce dont ils ont besoin, alors certes ça fera du scoring en sortie de banc m'enfin c'est pas ça le soucis dans leur roster.

Lordi0m, je regarde plus sur le League Pass pour le coup moi, mais à l'époque je prenais un VPN du pays où l'abonnement était le moins cher, je sais pas si c'est toujours possible.

Le forfait à 80 matchs la saison tu parles de quoi ? En annuel il y a trois forfait d'après ce que je vois, l'abonnement "normal", l'abonnement premium avec la possibilité de choisir les angles de vue, et l'abonnement team choice, qui te permet de suivre une équipe toute la saison, c'est pas ça dont tu parles ?

A noter qu'en général la NBA offre le League Pass les premiers jours de la compétition, avec un abonnement auto à la fin de la période d'essai gratuite

L'an dernier il y avait une autre offre, 80 matchs, ils y avait 80 tickets utilisable comme les matchs "normal" sans choix.

C'était pas super cher et au final j'en ai vu environ 74 PO inclus, donc c'était parfait !

EDIT : Ok ils ont transformé ça dans le team choice : l'an dernier on pouvait suivre 80 matchs de n'importe quelle équipe, maintenant c'est 80 matchs de l'équipe qu'on choisi...

EDIT 2 : C'est l'option Game choice mais plus disponible sur le marché français... Et surtout l'an dernier on pouvait regarder les 80 matchs en octobre par exemple, là c'est 10 par mois, en gros l'an dernier j'en ai gardés pleins pour les PO, cette année c'est foutu.

T'auras des prix plus bas, et toutes les options dispo. Une fois ton abonnement passé, plus besoin du proxy, t'accèdes à ton abonnement normalement, par ta propre adresse IP. Enfin en tout cas c'était le cas à l'époque.

Les Celtics et les Rockets ont peut être un banc légèrement supérieur mais bordaile le cinq majeur j’ai beau le prendre dans tous les sens je vois pas comment les autres équipes vont pouvoir rivaliser sur 4 à 7 matchs de playoffs. Infaisable avec l’apport du meilleur pivot de la ligue
