A Further 15 Air Strikes Against ISIL in Iraq and Syria

US AND Coalition military forces have continued to attack ISIL terrorists in Syria, using fighter, bomber and remotely piloted aircraft to conduct two air strikes. Separately, US and Coalition military forces conducted 13 air strikes in Iraq, using attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL terrorists. All strikes took place between 0800hrs on February 15 and 0800hrs on February 16, local time.
The following is a summary of the strikes conducted since the last press release:
Syria
Near Kobani, an air strike hit an ISIL large tactical unit.
Near Dayr az Zawr, an air strike hit and destroyed multiple ISIL oil pumps.
Iraq
Near Al Asad, an air strike hit an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL vehicle.
Near Al Qaim, an air strike destroyed an ISIL excavator.
Near Bayji, two air strikes hit an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL checkpoint.
Near Fallujah, two air strikes destroyed an ISIL vehicle and an ISIL mortar positon.
Near Haditha, an air strike hit an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed three ISIL vehicles and an ISIL building.
Near Mosul, four air strikes hit an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed two ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL excavator and an ISIL vehicle.
Near Rawah, an air strike destroyed an ISIL armoured vehicle.
Near Tal Afar, an air strike hit an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL building.
Airstrike assessments are based on initial reports. All aircraft returned to base
safely. The strikes were conducted as part of Operation Inherent Resolve. AFD-Dave Allport
Separately, Jordan’s Information Minister confirmed today that Royal Bahrain Air Force F-16 fighters have been deployed to Jordan to join the fight against ISIL. Bahrain state media said the unspecified number of aircraft had deployed to Jordan yesterday, February 15.
