Hi all
Newbie on here and hello...I've just bought the TX55AS650 from costco....they only had 4 left at my local one in Haydock. I too couldn't find any reviews on it but took the plunge due to costco having the 90 day no quibble return policy.
I am pleased to say that the picture is really good....ok some of the sd transmissions can look a little ropey but on a big set that's par for the course. The hd pictures are exceptional with no noticeable motion blur at all. I'm coming from an 8yr old panasonic 42ins plasma which has a cracking picture quality but this set blows it away and I'm pretty fussy when it comes to tv's. The sound is acceptable too saying that it only has 2 x 10 watts total output...
I'll probably invest in a soundboard eventually. Not had a chance to hook it up to the internet yet so can't comment on the apps etc yet. If anyone is considering getting this set especially at the price that costco are selling it for (£868 after cashback) then go for it and get one from costco before they sell out...you won't be disappointed.
